A home course advantage proves truly evident as Bradley is able to defeat Illinois in the first match play event of the season. The two A teams faced off for 13 holes until Bradley clinched the match play victory. After tying on hole one Bradley got hot quickly winning the next 3 holes. Finding 3 more holes one in the last 8 holes compared to Illinois 1, Bradley’s A team was able to accumulate 6 holes won for a total of 12 points compared to Illinois’ single hole won for a total of 2 points. Many more matches left to be played this season in the Central Midwest Conference but Bradley is certainly looking like a strong contender out of the gate. Both teams will have a chance to face off again at the Brave The Midwest Regional.
